I mean, just look at this mixed media journal cover he designed and made for me:

I don't even buy pretty journals anymore, they scare the shit out of me. I only write in ugly, single-ruled, spiral notebooks....then tear out what I've written and throw it into the wood stove...go figure.
must admit though, this is a beautiful gift

he used the face from some cut out and traced over it, not sure about the buildings, but the paints are all oil. i can tell he modge-podged or glued or something a couple layers underneath the paint.
